 I like this photo as this light was pretty good and the focus on the two students is great. The downside to this photo is that their backs dominate the photos and their is not a lot to look at or draw you in too. Although I may be able to include this photo is controversial stories where anonymity is important.

 I like this photo as we have a landscape photo of a student with the tennis courts and the school buildings in the background. I feel this is a successful image as it has a lot of focal points and I kept the background in focus as I felt the school was just as important in this photo.

 I also am quite pleased with this photo as I got all the students to sit on the steps to create a more relaxed approach. The camera was level and got the models to look into the distance because then their is thought process going on and it would engage the audience more because they would be interested to know what they're looking at.



In this photo I walked behind the subjects and captured a photo of them walking down a lane separating the school from the field. There was a good amount of light coming through the hedges. I maybe could of decided to crop their legs off as they are not as important in this photo.  Although none of the students are engaging with the camera so we don't know if it would capture the attention of the audience.

This  photo was taken back in the classroom where I used a black back drop and got the subject to stare into the camera. I haven't yet cropped out the surrounding of the black back drop but I will later on as it is unnecessary. I wanted the student to stare down the camera to give it a firm and aggressive feel.

 This photo was not one of my favourites as it has many points where it could be improved. Firstly the background is also in focus but its unnecessary and didn't need to be in focus. Also the student appears to have his phone in his hand which doesn't promote the school very well.

This photo originally was to create a sense of friendship and support within the school. Although the idea may of worked this photo didn't as it was out of focus the background wasn't that appealing and the subjects have their backs towards the audience.

This was another photo I took in the studio. Instead of creating an aggressive feel I wanted a more relaxed and happy one. The subject had his eyes closed during this photo and it didn't look like he was prepared for it so it didn't work very well.

We originally took some portrait photo's of current students in certain places in school. We took most of our photos outside because our photos was vastly improved by the light. We took photos of students standing by a concrete wall and also sitting on steps by the drama studies to create a more relaxed feel. We also progressed on and took over the shoulder photos of the students walking down the lane separating the school from the field. We traveled to the back of the Harleigh building where is was quiet and we got one student to pick up some litter and take a photo of them putting it in the bin. 

We then returned to the classroom and we took more portrait photos of students with a black back drop in behind. We had many choices to make when we was taking the photos. Firstly we decided add more additional light because the photos was too dark. We then got the student to make different posses and sit differently so we had a variety of choice when taking our photos. We also had decisions to make when it came to use flash or not but we decided not to as we already had some additional light and I didn't want the photos to be too bright.
